There’s something about fairy lights that just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I think it’s the dainty little light bulbs that add just enough light to relax and not too much that it feels like you’ve got a bedside lamp on. Do you know what I mean? Does anyone feel the same feels when it comes to fairy lights? Sparkle Lighting collaborated with me recently and sent me over some gorgeous fairy lights to show you and I’m obsessed. I mean, I didn’t realise that I could make my bedroom mirror any more beautiful than it already is but nope, I can.
Excuse the fact that my mirror is actually hella dusty in this photo. Lockdown vibes have got me slacking when it comes to cleaning but I was just so keen to get these fairy lights on my mirror that I’m just going to overlook the dust for now.
These Gold Leaf Fairy Lights bring the outdoors in and the first thing that I was impressed by when it came to the lights was the quality of the gold leaf. I love that they’re not all the same style of leaf and that it’s a variety, which makes it a lot more interesting to look at. It’s dainty like most fairy lights are but it feels quite weighty due to the metal.
I knew as soon as I saw them on Sparkle Lighting, that these fairy lights were going to go perfectly across the mirror. When it comes to fairy lights, I think they’re the perfect lighting to use as a subtle accessory to a piece of furniture. My mirror is from a company called Willam Wood Mirrors and the colour of the mirror frame itself is a really unusual one. It’s not quite silver and because of that, I think it’s a really versatile colour that goes perfectly with these gold leaf accents.
At £39.95, they’re certainly an affordable purchase and they’re an elevated version of your traditional fairy lights. They cover half of the mirror and to be honest, I want to keep it to just covering half because it looks as if it’s a vine that’s climbing up and around the mirror. It’s just a really simple design, but it gives me proper autumnal vibes. Each one is also handmade and handpainted, so you’re getting something that’s great quality and made with a lot of care and attention.
The lights have a simple on/off or timer function so a great thing to have on when you’re tucked up in bed and wanting to set it to go off without having to climb out of bed.
